Abstract

The city of Guayaquil became the epicenter of the pandemic in Ecuador, the first officially reported case was in the city of Guayaquil on February 29, 2020 and on March 11, 2020 a State of Health Emergency was declared in the National System Health. The virus called SARS-CoV-2, responsible for the new disease COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 19), arrived like a hurricane, nobody imagined what would happen in March and April 2020, the uncertainty , the quarantine, the blockade, without controlled clinical studies to know what was the best treatment option, but common sense and the experiences of other countries that were going through the storm that is COVID-19, helped us to have a perspective of the problem and to set short and medium-term objectives.
